"Purple Passion" - Maple and Purple Heart
The beauty of the purple/brownish Purple Heeart wood against the brilliant white Maple makes it stand out. It is made from Hard Maple and Purple Heart with the edge grain facing up. Hard Maple is sourced from the forests of New York state where we are based. The Purple Heart wood is shipped in special for these boards.

NOTE: Each board is a little different as the trees themselves are so unique but all will have Maple with 2 strips of Purple Heart wood.

This style board will be between 1 and just under 1.5 inches thick. Final Thickness depends on stock 8/4 lumber received.
All boards are soaked in mineral oil (helps prevent bacteria growth) and coated with our special blend of 100% beeswax and food grade mineral oil.
Purple Heart starts out bright purple and then changes after it is cut to a purple brown. As UV light and mineral oil react the wood changes to a light brownish color with hints of purple grain. A truly beautiful imported wood.
